Teachers' Hill
The signature crag in the area, Teachers' Hill, offers quality rock and varied climbing. Across its six unique sections climbers will find Slab, Overhang, Vertical, Multi-pitch and Trad climbing from grade 4 - 8. This is a fantastic cliff established by local legend Chris Hamper in 1995.

Raudbua
This cliff is about 20 minutes walk from my house. Probably best to park at our parking place by the group of houses rather than at the end of the road which is private. The rock is interesting, I used to think it was rotten but the visited “The beach” and realised that under the dust it was solid. All the route names come from local poet Jacob Sande’s poems, the text of the poems used to hang on the first bolts but I think they have long gone. If you are a boulderer but want to tick an 8a sport route then Vesle Daniel is the route for you. Also a great place for a family picnic, don’t forget the hamper. The main part of the cliff is a big overhang, you may think this makes it a good wet weather destination but it isn’t, go to Hellebust.

Hellebust
Hellebust is the trifecta. The rock is brilliant, the climbing is Mega and it always stays dry! Hell or bust is a must climb and Parkinson's project is a world classic. The crag was developed by local legend Chris Hamper after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2019. He spent 100s of hours here solo bolting and working the Parkinson's Project to achieve his goal of climbing 8A again. The Knife Factory
A crag that gets its name from the sharp holds and knife like cracks. The main wall has some great bouldery climbs and it is all just minutes from the road.

Leirskule
A decent crag for beginners. It was created for local summer camp kids to try climbing. It has a few easy top rope routes and a few lead routes. **The anchors are being changed. There are no lower off bolts at the moment. They will be replaced soon.

Alistair's Crack
A large boulder on the trail between Teachers' Hill and Campus. This was developed by Alistair a trad climber. It is unique because it has a vertical crack. Vertical cracks are not often found on granite like this. One shared anchor that is accessible from the top. **This Boulder seems to be cracked all the way around. It doesn't seem entirely safe. Climb at your own risk.

The Gully
This is a lost Chris Hamper project. After receiving his diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease Chris obsessed over this cliff until it was finished. After the final bolt was installed he left the obsession never to return. He has never climbed the routes. Give them a go or just have a look and continue a few minutes into the forest to have a play on the Mega Classic Lippman boulder.

Olsetåsen
A great crag for beginners. The main climbs here are easy and comfortable for both Top Rope and Lead. The crag was removed from local guidebooks because it is no longer being maintained. The bolts may be loose or rusty so bring a 12mm wrench with you. We visited the crag in June 2026 and the belay areas have become overgrown. The routes look pretty clean and the gear has mild rust but overall it looks like the crag just needs someone clean up the brush and belay areas and it will be nice to climb again. Proceed with caution.

One of Norway's best sport climbing areas near Stryn. Long and partly steep sport climbing on round big holds, with routes from 5a+ to 8a. Almost all routes stay dry in rain.
